One-day workshop and networking event for STEM early career researchers: Doing research in (Greater) China

Are you pursuing a China-related research project? Are you planning to do research or fieldwork in China or Singapore? Are you interested in initiating a research cooperation with colleagues from the People’s Republic of China or Singapore?

The China Competence Network Ruhr Niederrhein (C NET RNR) invites all STEM early career researchers (from pre- to post-doctoral levels) who are interested or already engaged in scientific cooperation with China or Singapore to join this one-day workshop and networking event in Duisburg to

  • learn more on recent trends and developments in the respective research systems;
  • gain valuable insights into everyday research life in (Greater) China from first-hand accounts and various disciplinary perspectives;
  • receive and share information about research security aspects, e. g. the collection, storage and transfer of research data and/or samples, what to consider in professional communication, etc.;
  • connect and exchange with peers and experienced researchers.

Featuring a broad range of contributions by scientists and scholars with different research experience in mainland China and Singapore, the workshop provides theoretical background and practical knowledge to navigate the complexities of research activities and scientific collaboration in (Greater) China.
