SUMMARY:China in the World - Geoeconomics\, Geopolitics\, and Social Tension
DESCRIPTION:As part of the China in the World Conference Series\, the China Competence Network Ruhr Niederrhein (C-NET RNR)\, in cooperation with CKN Germany\, will host a conference on Wednesday\, November 26\, 2025\, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the University of Duisburg-Essen\, Campus Duisburg. The event will focus on China as a geoeconomic and geopolitical actor. Under the title “Geoeconomics\, Geopolitics\, and Social Tension\,” the conference will explore the following key questions in a two-part panel discussion: \n\n\n\n\nHow does the Chinese state use its economic power to achieve geopolitical goals and reshape the global order in line with national interests?\n\n\n\nHow do these developments affect social stability in the People’s Republic of China?\n\n\n\nWhat kinds of disruptive dynamics emerge from these processes both internationally and domestically?\n\n\n\n\nThe conference language will be English.
